Naru takes its name from Ngaru, the Māori word for waves or surf, representing the rhythmic movement of water. The g is dropped to simplify pronunciation.
By coincidence, naru (なる) is also Japanese for “to become”. This provides a fitting overlap for a system built on the idea that well handled work finds its own rhythm and shape.
